By Elisabeth Thornton Cabarrus Arts Council Have you ever looked at a landscape painting and could almost feel the wispy softness of the grass? If you touched the painting, you wouldn't feel softness, though, but the opposite. Artists use all kinds of techniques to create the illusion of texture, and students will learn more about them in the next Art Lab. Art Labs allow children a 90-minute opportunity to unplug during this summer.
